One of the hardest parts of the lockdown situation is surely the fact that we do not spend our days exactly how and where we would want to. Hence, we wanted to cheer up by dreaming about our favourite places in Prague. We asked you on our Instagram stories “What are YOUR favourite Prague spots?”. Right from the beginning, it was clear there is no need for thinking about the amusing spots for too long cause there are so many of them! So, here is the list we have created together with our followers.
After a long day of exploring Prague, you can relax in parks and ancient gardens. The Czech capital is one of the greenest cities in the world. There are about 200 parks and recreational areas scattered around the city. That’s a lot of parks and gardens of all kinds: it is very easy to find a place for recreation, picnic, entertainment or just communication with nature. For those who love nature, here is a list of their favourite parks in Prague to sit, sleep, and just hang out in.
If Lužánky is an oasis in the middle of the city, Obora Holedná is an oasis away from everything. If you are looking for a place detached from everyday life where you can turn off your phone and relax and you either don’t want to or cannot go to the countryside, this is the place just for you. Spend the afternoon by walking around a peaceful forest enclosure, there is a buffet too!
Did you know that there are a lot of mountains in the Czech Republic? I believe that to some tourists calling the Krkonoše area “mountains” must sound like a little bit of an overstatement because the tallest point, Sněžka, has ‘only’ 1603 metres. Despite that Sněžka and the rest of Krkonoše mountains may not fulfil all your mountain climbing dreams, they still have a lot to offer! In fact, I could write several articles just about this beautiful area but today I am going to cover just the best of the best.
