Living in Brno for a French expat
My decision to come in Czech Republic was a last minute decision. I’m supposed to be in the UK right now. Indeed, few months ago, I was looking for an internship abroad and all know how it is difficult to find a company that will suit you and will accept to take you for just 5 months. I never thought about coming here because it didn’t really attracted before. But when I’ve been the opportunity to come here, I did have a moment of hesitation. So I made some research before saying anything talk with one of my friends that lived in Prague during a few months. I have been given the answers that I needed to take my decision.
First MeetUp!
Last week, I attended my first MeetUp ! The event took place in a restaurant in the city center of Brno.
You don’t remember or don’t know what a MeetUp is ?
Well, a MeetUp is an event that gather all foreigners.cz and partners around drinks and food. The aim of this event is to meet new people, share impressions about Brno or Czech Republic. It is also an occasion to know the foreigners.cz team out of the office.
My first mini-MeetUp!
Tuesday, I had my first mini-MeetUp. I didn’t know exactly what it implied. Basically it is a meeting that gathers people from foreigners and people that have a link with foreigners. So during this meeting you will find people from different countries. It is about spending a great time around a glass of wine.
Brno’s Castle: The Spilberk Castle
For my first day in Brno, I visited Spilberk Castle. I believe that this is one of the sites that everyone should visit when coming in Brno.
Bistro Franz: Not an ordinary Czech bistro
