Grab & Go: Brno Cafés During the State of Emergency

The coronavirus lockdown has unexpectedly flipped upside down our whole life and daily routine. Since the whole Czech Republic had to shift towards the position of avoiding human contact, it was especially difficult to give up on our favorite pleasures such as having a cup of coffee in our favorite cafes… However, Brno cafés are still operating doing their best to ensure the city stays caffeinated:) Many of them have created ways to stay afloat during this crisis. Read this article to learn which ones will save you from your coffee deficiency!

1.  Punkt

Punkt café is doing take-outs of their brilliant coffee and desserts every workday (10 AM – 5 PM) and during the weekend (1 AM – 5 PM).

They have also launched a great project Bond contract that will significantly help their business to survive through the tough times and make you their “VIP client”. The rules are simple:

  • Purchase a Punkt Bond Contract value of 500 CZK, 1 000 CZK or 2 000 CZK and send the money to their account mentioned in this Facebook post, write your email to the transaction description;
  • Punkt. team will send the payment confirmation to your email;
  • Finally, you will have an opened account in their cafe value of the amount you have sent + extra 20% which you can spend on delicious coffee and desserts 😍😍😍

It sounds like a great deal and a very generous act, doesn’t it?

This aesthetic cafe in the very heart of Brno city is currently working through their take-out window 11 AM – 4 PM.

You can place the order through the phone call or by leaving a message in FB Messenger.

Important: Right now they only accept contactless payments.

4. Kafe & Kobliha

This unique café offers unforgettably delicious donuts and coffee which you can purchase through their take-out window. 

Wow! And you can also order donuts on the Kobliha website! Don’t miss the chance!

5. Piknik Box

This coffee spot will be happy to serve you desserts and coffee which you can taste straight in their peaceful park or grab something to bring home:) 

Their working hours are weekdays 9 AM – 17 PM, weekends 10 AM – 17 PM.

6. Coffeebar Mymika

This coffee shop is still open every day from 11 AM – 4:30 PM. Swing through for a great latte, salty caramel banana bread and much more!

7. Spital Cafe Mitte

Netroufalky, Brno, Czech Republic 602 50

Espresso, batch brew, brownies, vegan cookies and other delicious treats are waiting for you every weekday from 8 AM – 4 PM.

8. Kafe Friedrich

Smetanova 763/45, 602 00 Brno-střed-Veveří

This cute coffee place is doing takeouts and home delivery. Take a look on their website menu and stock up there 🙂

9. Café Atlas (closed permanently, now known as JAGA)

Café Atlas is working every day from 10 AM – 15:30 PM to serve you breakfasts, lunches and desserts. Take a look at their brunch menu and don’t worry about what to cook for lunch!
