This year, the Czech Republic has taken 10th place as the best destination for expats, out of 64 destinations in the Expat Insider 2019 survey. The country maintained the same places compared to last year and climbed one place compared to 2017.
Expat Insider, one of the world’s largest and most comprehensive surveys on life abroad, announce 10 best destinations for expats in 2019:

- Singapore
- Bahrain
- Ecuador
- Malaysia
- Czechia
The vote is generated from 20,259 participants from around the world shared their experiences. Together, they represented 182 nationalities and are scattered across 187 countries and territories.
Expat Life in the Czech Republic
Regarding the survey, Czech Republic ranks second in the world for working aboard, only beaten by Vietnam. Its best results can be found in the Career Prospects & Satisfaction (2nd) and Economy & Job Security (3rd) subcategories, though it ranks in the top 10 for all factors of this index.
The Czech Republic is also a great destination for families. It has taken the 4th place in the survey, thanks to the fact that 90% of expats are satisfied with their family life in general (vs. 79% globally), and 93% are particularly happy with the leisure activities available for their children (vs, 75% globally).
Regarding the quality of life, Czech Republic comes in 7th place and stands out for its good results in the Travel & Transportation subcategory (3rd). 96% expat enjoys the opportunities to travel (vs. 82% globally) and 95% is satisfied with the country’s transportation infrastructure (vs. 68% globally).
