Every single thing you’ll accomplish will leave you saying: I didn’t know that I was able to do this! Another thing that is important is that you’ll learn to be alone and you will grow to value your alone time. You will appreciate sitting alone with your cup of coffee in front of a bustling city. You will have time to think and focus on yourself. Seeing what’s possible will make increase your drive to succeed and your confidence will skyrocket!!

Exploring: Once you live abroad, you’ll see that materialistic things won’t matter as much as experiences and memories. You’ll stop waiting for things to happen and you will live in the moment. You will learn new things, how to ask for help, discover new places and you will curiously feel at home in an entirely different place. These new experiences will help you to think outside the box and show you that there are limitless ways of thinking.

Sometimes, you’ll realize that away from home, things can go wrong. But this will turn you into a confident problem-solver. Nothing will faze you after your time abroad! By going out of your comfort zone, you’ll make new friends from across the world with whom you have a ton of things in common with. These new friendships will be very meaningful because you are all experiencing a new place together.

Enhancing your CV and broadening your network: Living abroad will look amazing on your CV and will help you get a job in the future. Employers love to see efficient candidates who are independent enough to orchestrate a solo move overseas.

You have demonstrated that you can go outside of your comfort zone, improve your adaptability and flexibility, as well as learn new skills and how to work in a multicultural environment. Also, it shows that you are understanding and tolerant of other cultures.

By working abroad, you will meet new people and colleagues who may have connections back in your home country! That’s why it’s important to stay in touch with them!

Rewarding yourself: It will develop life skills that a classroom or even your job back home could never teach you! You’ll notice that when heading back home, decisions about your future become easier and you’ll always have a story to tell!
