The government announced that all foreigners who are living here legally can now get the COVID-19 vaccine for free. Additionally, as the epidemiological situation in the Czech Republic is once again getting worse, the Ministry of Health has toughened mask mandates at universities, valid from 15 November, and decided on new measures at ski centres, valid from 1 December.

Coronavirus in Czechia: More Students to Return to School and Accommodation Services to Resume on 24 May
Monday, 24 May will mark more restriction relaxations in Czechia. High school students will be allowed to return to schools in full regime. Universities will also be allowed to reopen. On the same day, hotels and other types of accommodation will resume their business as well and indoor gyms and sports areas will be able to welcome up to 30 people at a time.
Coronavirus in Czechia: Hair Salons, Barbershops, Manicures, Spas, and More to Reopen on 3 May
According to the Minister of Industry and Trade, we can expect the opening of bodycare services such as hair salons and barbershops, pedicures, manicures, massage salons, cosmetic and regeneration services, animal care, and spa care, including rehabilitation services. All of these services will reopen on 3 May.
Coronavirus in Czechia: Non-Essential Travels to Country Now Banned
All travels to the Czech Republic for non-essential purposes are now banned as decided by the government on Thursday, January 28. Without an essential purpose, foreigners won’t be, therefore, allowed to arrive in Czechia. This measure was announced on Friday and came into effect already on Saturday, January 30, 12:00 AM. It will remain in place until stated otherwise along with the other countermeasures which are now in effect.
