Today we are going to talk about one special place… It is not a touristic sight, however, it attracts many expats every year. According to Google data, people usually spend there from 2-5 hours every day… So, what is that special place you may ask? Today we will talk about the Ministry of the Interior (the MOI). Great news for students in the Czech Republic! We know how to make your visit there more comfortable and shorter.
Perhaps, you have already visited the MOI for dealing with different visa permits, or to register your address, etc. The busiest times in the Ministry of Interior are July and August for summer. During these months, many students come there to prolong their visa, waiting more than 5 hours in a queue. The process takes so much time because the workers of MOI cannot cope with such a big flow of the applicants, and process their documents quickly.
However, did you know that there is another way to deal with this situation? You can order your immigration package now (in spring) already, so we can start preparing all the necessary documents for visa extension and make an appointment for you in the MOI. If you apply now – before your exam at school start, you have time for studying and focusing on your exam preparation while you will have your appointment scheduled. All you have to do is to come to our office with all your documents. No long queues or any stress anymore!
The earliest date when you can apply for a visa extension is 90 days before the end of your current visa. But what to do if you don’t have one document? Sometimes a student has to apply for visa extension beforehand (e.g. going home in summer, etc.) but not every Office for Studies in the university can provide with a confirmation of study before the semester ends. No worries! You can still apply for prolonging visa and ship the missing document later.
Sounds easy, right? Our consultants have a big experience in dealing with bureaucratic jungle. So you can be sure that all your documents will be in order! Moreover, you will get an assistance of communication with immigration authorities, which makes everything even better!
Foreigners recommend you to not postpone preparation for a visa extension till the last moment, so you can save your time and nerves, and avoid getting a fine in case of missing a deadline. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact us. We are always here to help you with anything you need.
