Paddleboating along the Vltava River might just be one of the most relaxing summer activities there is to do in Prague! Not only a great way to spend the day, but the perfect opportunity to soak up some sun and get that summer glow you’ve been looking for. Just a few steps from the Narodni Divadlo tram stop, you are able to walk down to the river and rent Paddleboats from numerous vendors. There are a wide range of paddleboats that you can rent, anywhere from 2 people boats in the shape of swans (good idea for a romantic day!), to 5 people boats shaped as cars (family fun), and boats that can fit up to 8 people. The price to rent the boats varies from vendor to vendor along with which boat you take, however I have found the price to be very reasonable. Before you head to the water, I recommend preparing a picnic to enjoy while out on the River! Personally, if I’m looking to have a picnic in Prague, I head straight to Bakeshop. Bakeshop has a huge variety of salads, quiche, vegetables, spreads, breads, sandwiches, and baked goods. Everything is delicious (my favorite is the beet salad), and they will package it up for you to go along with all of the necessary utensils. I also recommend bringing along a bottle of wine to enjoy. But be careful- don’t want to drink too much or you might not make it back to the shore! With the weather in Prague getting better with each passing day, Paddleboating next to the scenic views of the Charles Bridge and Prague Castle should definitely be at the top of your list for Prague daytime fun!
