The first Beer Spas date back to the ancient Egypt and China, where hot springs were used for treating diseases, improving immunity and for personal hygiene. Bathing in beer, including consumption of the beverage, has long been used in folk medicine. The first beer spa was recorded approximately 2,000 years ago. The benefits of Beer Spa are skin rejuvenation, absorption of vitamins, carbohydrates and proteins, soothing effect on the skin, hair and muscles, easing of muscle tension, reduction of stress, regeneration of the body and mind, improved blood circulation and detoxification.. I decided that I needed to take care of myself, so I tried the Beer Spa. I choose the Spa Beerland in Prague to do it because to the affordable prices, wide availability schedules and for what was included in the service. But they have a very particular rule, if they think that you are drunk, you can’t do the procedure. I say that because you can drink the amount of beer that you want during the procedure. 
After making the check in, they give you a glass and you serve the beer yourself. Right in the lobby, there are two pumps where you can take beer while you are waiting for the appointment. There you can drink two types of beer, the yellow and dark Krusovice beer. Both are very good. 
When it was time, they took me to the treatment room, and I can’t think of anything better than that. Beer pumps just beside the Jacuzzi, straw bed and a fireplace. The perfect place to be with someone very special in your life. The first 30 minutes, you are in the Jacuzzi. They fill the tub with water, and then they add a bucket of beer, hops and wheat. It felt like I was in paradise. 
In the last 30 minutes, you lay down in the straw bed to dry and rest. The bed promotes the absorption of all the vitamins and extracts from the bath. While you are in the bed, you can enjoy a delicious beer bread with butter. 
In the end, I felt great and the smell of my skin was amazing. I recommend this to everyone who comes to Czech Republic; it is really a unique experience.
