Virtual Pilsner Card
Pilsen City Transport Company (PMDP) introduced new application – Virtuální Plzeňská Karta (Virtual Pilsner Card). This application will replace the previous one Virtuální karta which will no longer be supported after March 31st.
Virtual Pilsner Card brings news and tweaks:
- Quick purchase of tickets and seasonal tickets without need for validation
- Account and tariff management in one place
- Smart search for your traffic connection
- View your route directly in the map
- Customization of the app
What is not changing:
- The plastic card remains valid
- Active ticket is still only on the card or only in the app
- QR code to be shown to the ticket inspector
- Season ticket can be bought in the eshop
The app is available in GooglePlay as well as in AppStore and is free of charge
Parking Zones in the Centre of Pilsen
As you have probably noticed the parking zones with parking fees in Pilsen were extended in December 2024. The Borská street by the Moving station and Papírnická street in Slovany were added in the toll districts. The area of zones wasn’t the only thing that changed. But the timeslots were changed for the parking zone A and B too. The parking fee has to be paid from 7am till 8 pm during from Monday till Saturday!! In the rest of the parking zones are timeslots still the same from 7am till 7 pm Monday – Friday.
On foot, by car, tram, bus or trolleybus – always find your way!
