Ivča, you work freshly as an Expat & Immigration consultant. Why did you decide to apply for this position?
This opportunity came to me nicely. I started to be interested in that kind of job because I am always looking for dialog among the cultures, the people, and of course, a strong feature of the contemporary society that everywhere you can meet every people from all corners of the world, a lot of foreigners. The world is very open now. I like to welcome people. Even more than before, I am very interested what kind of struggle people have during their integration in my country (Czechia) and I wanted to know how it is actually regarding the administration. So, it seems to me like a very good experience.
What did you study?
I’ve studied Political Sciences & History and Culture of the Middle East. I haven’t finished and I am about to continue with Political Science and Arabic language.
You have just started your job. What are your expectations?
I expect I will learn about the process of integration in the Czech Republic and Europe and I will get inspired by the company’s vision. I will meet many interesting people and this work will also help me to make my personal little or bigger vision much more possible.
What are your hobbies?
I have many hobbies, such as yoga and tango. I have my degree of yoga so I can teach but now tango is my life. I discovered this dance in Paris and now I can’t live without it. It’s a part of me. I love the rhythm and all the values of this dance.
Do you have experience of living abroad?
Yes, I was in Paris for 6 months where I learnt tango. I will go to Argentina as well to learn tango in Buenos Aires. I really love this country and I have many friends there.
Have you ever been thinking about relocation to a different country?
My home is here, in the Czech Republic. I come from here and feel the roots very strongly. But yes, the first year in Argentina I actually started to think about Argentina as a possible home for my family if the situation gets worse in Europe. And the second time there I was thinking about my life there which seems to be much more practicable. But most of my travels were with a purpose, tango for example.
What’s your favorite place in the world?
The Czech Republic, of course, it’s my homeland. I really love my country with conditions it has.
Do you have your traveling plan for this year?
Yes, I want to go to Argentina in winter or maybe in October for my tango classes. I will go to Paris for an event and of course tango and to Berlin as well I hope. I would love to go to Morocco and Israel because I studied the history of this areas so I love this type of country and another reason is that Israel has interesting things in terms of tango.
