Although the number of new COVID-19 cases in Czechia has been steadily decreasing, the situation in hospitals is still critical. Therefore, the Minister of Health, Jan Blatn\u00fd, decided to extend <\/b>current coronavirus restrictions<\/b><\/a> to at least the end of the <\/b>Easter holidays<\/b><\/a> \u2013 including the ban of movement between districts. Still, a slight relaxation of some of the current rules will be effective from 22 March. <\/b><\/p>\n

Exercise and sports beyond the borders of your municipality<\/span><\/h2>\n

The main relaxation of the current COVID-19 restrictions concerns <\/span>free-time activities and <\/b>sports<\/b><\/a>.<\/b> The recently-implemented restrictions of movement <\/span>did now allow leaving your municipality<\/b><\/a> except in special cases or with a special note. <\/span>This should change effective from Monday, 22 March.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

Come Monday, <\/span>you are allowed to exercise or hike beyond the borders of your municipality. You must, however, remain within the borders of your district.<\/b><\/p>\n

Face masks and social distancing<\/span><\/h2>\n

Blatn\u00fd also confirmed that all those who are engaging in <\/span>exercise and sports activities<\/b> will be <\/span>exempt from <\/b>wearing a face mask<\/b><\/a> from 22 March<\/b>. This exemption <\/span>only applies<\/b> if you <\/span>maintain <\/b>a distance of<\/span> two meters<\/b> from other citizens.<\/span><\/p>\n

Moreover, the minister stressed that in <\/span>regular situations <\/b>(if you are not engaging in exercise), <\/span>you must still <\/b>wear a<\/b> face mask<\/b><\/a> even if there is no one else on the street except you. <\/b>Otherwise, you may get fined.<\/span><\/p>\n
