Some embassies have, however, already resumed accepting new applications for visas and residence permits now that the pandemic situation has improved.<br \/>\n<\/b><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h3><b>Which embassies are open<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>Recently the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs has released a list of embassies that have resumed accepting new applications for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foreigners.cz\/visa-arrangement\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><b>visas<\/b><\/a> and temporary <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foreigners.cz\/residence-permit\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><b>residence permits<\/b><\/a> and terminated the interruption of the procedure on applications for long-term residence permits.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-20752 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.foreigners.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/uzemi-final_kreslici-platno-1-520x515.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"520\" height=\"515\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.foreigners.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/uzemi-final_kreslici-platno-1-520x515.jpg 520w, https:\/\/blog.foreigners.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/uzemi-final_kreslici-platno-1-300x297.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blog.foreigners.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/uzemi-final_kreslici-platno-1-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/blog.foreigners.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/uzemi-final_kreslici-platno-1-768x760.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blog.foreigners.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/uzemi-final_kreslici-platno-1-1536x1520.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/blog.foreigners.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/uzemi-final_kreslici-platno-1.jpg 1552w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 520px) 100vw, 520px\" \/><\/p>\n<h3><b>What kinds of applications are accepted again<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>At those Czech embassies where the visa agenda has been resumed applications are accepted to this extent:<\/p>\n<p><b>Schengen visas:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Of EU or Czech citizens\u2019 family members<\/li>\n<li>Of international transport workers<\/li>\n<li>Of critical infrastructure workers<\/li>\n<li>Of diplomats and officials of international organizations<\/li>\n<li>Of seasonal employees<\/li>\n<li>For employment in the health and social services and their family members<\/li>\n<li>For employment in food production<\/li>\n<li>For the purpose of employment of workers in the professions belonging to the \u201cHighly Qualified Staff\u201d program or the \u201cKey and Scientific Staff\u201d program<\/li>\n<li>In urgent emergency situations<\/li>\n<li>In the interest of the Czech Republic<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Long-term visas and long-term residence permits:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Long-term visas for the purpose of seasonal employment<\/li>\n<li>Special work visas<\/li>\n<li>Residence permits within the \u201cKey and Scientific Staff\u201d program, including applicants\u2019 family members<\/li>\n<li>Residence permits within the \u201cHighly Qualified Staff\u201d program, including applicants\u2019 family members<\/li>\n<li>Residence permits within the \u201cQualified Staff\u201d program<\/li>\n<li>Long-term residence permits for the purpose of scientific research and applications for long-term residence permits of spouses and minor children of the researchers<\/li>\n<li>Long-term and permanent residence permits for the purpose of family reunification <i>(only in those cases where the spouses and minor children are reunited with foreigners who have been already received a long-term or permanent residence in the Czech Republic; other family members are not yet covered by this renewal)<\/i><\/li>\n<li>Long-term visas for the family purposes <i>(only in those cases where the spouses and minor children are reunited with foreigners who have been already received a long-term or permanent residence in the Czech Republic; other family members are not yet covered by this renewal)<\/i><\/li>\n<li>Long-term visas and residence permits for study purposes<\/li>\n<li>Long-term visas for other purposes (only in cases of educational activities)<\/li>\n<li>Long-term visas for culture, sport and (work) holidays<\/li>\n<li>Visas for the purpose of receiving a residence permit in the Czech Republic &#8211; the so-called bridging visa &#8211; regardless of the purpose of the stay<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>UPD: <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.foreigners.cz\/coronavirus-czechia-belgium-several-other-countries-considered-safe\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">11 Czech embassies resumed their normal operation<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foreigners.cz\/residence-permit\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><b>APPLY FOR YOUR RESIDENCE PERMIT NOW<\/b><\/a><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><b>Resuming of interrupted proceedings<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>Proceedings on all applications for long-stay visas and residence permits initiated before March 14 are renewed at all of the consulates with a partially restored visa agenda (i.e. the assessment of applications submitted before initiation of the state of emergency).<\/p>\n<h3><b>Countries that haven\u2019t resumed accepting new applications<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>Not all Czech embassies have resumed accepting new applications. <b>Submitting new applications and continuation of proceedings on applications for residence permits is still not possible at the following embassies<\/b>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Afghanistan: Kabul<\/li>\n<li>Algeria: Algiers<\/li>\n<li>Argentina: Buenos Aires<\/li>\n<li>Armenia: Yerevan<\/li>\n<li>Azerbaijan: Baku<\/li>\n<li>Belarus: Minsk<\/li>\n<li>Belgium: Brussels<\/li>\n<li>Brazil: Brasilia, S\u00e3o Paulo<\/li>\n<li>Chile: Santiago de Chile<\/li>\n<li>Colombia: Bogota<\/li>\n<li>Cuba: Havana<\/li>\n<li>Egypt: Cairo<\/li>\n<li>Ethiopia: Addis Ababa<\/li>\n<li>Ghana: Accra<\/li>\n<li>India: Delhi<\/li>\n<li>Indonesia: Jakarta<\/li>\n<li>Iraq: Baghdad, Erbil<\/li>\n<li>Iran: Tehran<\/li>\n<li>Ireland: Dublin<\/li>\n<li>Jordan: Amman<\/li>\n<li>Kenya: Nairobi<\/li>\n<li>Kuwait: Kuwait<\/li>\n<li>Malaysia: Kuala Lumpur<\/li>\n<li>Mexico: Mexico<\/li>\n<li>Morocco: Rabat<\/li>\n<li>Northern Macedonia: Skopje<\/li>\n<li>Pakistan: Islamabad<\/li>\n<li>Peru: Lima<\/li>\n<li>Philippines &#8211;
