Practical information regarding the city centre (16.-18 of January 2015)
As Pilsen is the European Capital of Culture 2015 and as the preparations are coming to an end, there will be some changes regarding transportation, security and many others. Please, follow the instructions written bellow:
Parking restriction in the city centre: On the square:
- 16th of January 00:00 till 18th of January 12:00
The restriction will be in the following streets: Bezručova street, Františkánská street, Zbrojnická st., Sedláčkova st., Prešovská st., Riegrova st., Dominikánská st., Solní st., Veleslavínova st., Malá st, Rooseveltova st., Perlová st., Sady 5. května st., Šafaříkovy sady , Křižíkovy sady, Smetanovy sady, Kopeckého sady, Jungmannova and Martinská st.
Residential cards!!!
There will be special parking provided for the holders of residential cards that will be free of charge. It will be situated in Presslova st. 14. and will be guarded non-stop.
Restrictions in the centre regarding transportation On the square:
- 16th of January 00:00 till 18th of January 12:00

Americká street in the part of Sirková – Prokopova st.
- 17th of January 12:00 –24:00 (except public transportation )
Restrictions regarding walking in the centre On the square:
- 17th of January 12:00 – 17:00
Street: Pražská st., Rooseveltova/Veleslavínova st., Dominikánská/Veleslavínova st., Solní/Sedláčkova st., Riegrova/Sedláčkova st., Prešovksá/Sedláčkova st., Zbrojnická/Křížíkovy stady – limited movement of pedestrians for a necessary period of time. Residents and operators – providing input into the temporary restriction of pedestrian zones
- card launch (enclosed in the evelope) – we ask you to take the card with you, mainly on Saturday, 17th of January. It provides access to your apartments as well as to workshops.
- operators and employers of the security agency will be ready to solve any situations that may occur, and minimalize the impact of those measures.
