Have you secured the flat you’ve been dreaming of during the last month with the help of Foreigners.cz? Sorry? Wait, wait, you’re saying you’ve already moved in?? Oh gosh, that’s great! We must celebrate such an occurrence!
A new flat rented in the Czech Republic must be consecrated with old and new friends, and having friends visiting is certainly the best way to gather people and have fun in your brand new location!
You also invited Alžběta, that charming girl you met at the pub a few weeks ago, and you want to make a good impression.
The evening starts with tasty food, cheap spirits, and a lot of fun, and as the alcohol percentage increases in the attendee’s blood, people step over the line. Nothing to be worried about, unless the apartment is yours and you got to pay for the damages caused. Wow, slow down…but the flat is yours!!
The morning later you wake up tipsy, alone in the apartment. Alžběta has vanished without leaving a trace, and your friends too. The flat is a mess: how will you explain to the landlord the broken door of the closet, the wine spots on the carpet (was it you?), the missing chandelier hanging from the ceiling that John used as a line to swing all over the living room? Not to mention, your laptop’s screen is cracked in 2 pieces…
All in a sudden, you see the light: before entering the location, you signed a Household & Liability Insurance contract in cooperation with Foreigners.cz! But you’re too tired or hangovered to remember the advantages attached to the contract. If nothing springs to your mind, let me help you, dear!
This kind of insurance not only covers the property insurance (although in some cases this is included in the agreements arranged with the landlord) but also your personal belongings such as the computer you found broken! Furthermore, the liability insurance guarantees the refunding from damages caused by third parties. John “the monkey” won’t need to spend a single crown for his crazy behavior! This package can be either added to the household insurance or arranged separately.
Forgot how you applied for that? That was easy: you contacted Foreigners.cz with your request to arrange the household and/or liability insurance, submitted an online form with the details of your apartment and personal info, and came to the office to pick up the contract. Oh, you’re saying that you were on a long vacation when the contract was ready? Well, in that case, Foreigners.cz probably sent it to you when you were abroad!
In cooperation with Slavia insurance company, Foreigners.cz provides 3 types of household insurance: Basic, Standard, and Exclusive.
The Basic insurance covers the damages of the household caused by: fire and its related circumstances, explosion, crash or hit of an airplane (yes, that’s not a joke), its parts or its load, thunderbolt both direct and indirect. Not to mention fire smoke, thunderstorm, hail, erosion of soil, fall of rocks or mold, avalanche, earthquakes, fall of trees, and fall of electrical poles.
The Standard insurance covers the damages of the household caused by all of the above, plus: hit by a vehicle, overvoltage, undervoltage, sonic boom, and leakage caused by the breakage of a conveyance structure.
The Exclusive insurance covers all the damages mentioned above plus: leakage caused by water insurance event, damage or destruction of boilers, tanks and heat exchanger stations of the building if the damage or destruction was caused by frozen water in it. Moreover, it helps in case of damage or destruction of the plumbing or conveyance structure including the armatures which are a part or a facility of the insured building if the damage or destruction was caused by overpressure. To conclude, it covers the break of glass caused by any event, aquarium water leakages, and cut off of electric motors.
Is it all clear my friend? Oh, one last thing: the price! Prices may vary depending on the type of insurance, but the average cost to insure your flat runs around 1 CZK per day. Not bad uh? 🙂
