Vltava River Spring Activities

As the weather starts to warm up, it is a perfect time to get on the water and see the city in an unparalleled way.  There are undoubtedly the best views of the Prague Caste, the National Theater, and the Charles Bridge and the Dancing House from the Vltava River. One great way to see the river and enjoy the sun is to rent a paddle boat or row boat.

Near the National Theater, on the Slovansky Island is where you may rent boat of your choosing.  There are boats that hold anywhere from two to six people.  Prices vary depending on the size of the boat and the amount of time you would like to spend on it, but it is typically around 70-200,-kc per sixty minutes.  You may go out during the day or at night time, but the prices increase, the later you decide to go.  The paddle boats are a good way to relax, enjoy the sun, and admire Prague’s elegant beauty.

There are also many excellent river cruises to choose from along the Vltava River.  Among the cruises are river tours, lunches, dinners, as well as deserts and range from 1-2 hours.  The boats are located next to the Čechův Bridge. The closest metro stop is Staroměstská or you may take tram lines 17 or 18 to Právnická fakulta.

These cruises are an exceptional time and are great for dinner parties, get togethers, as well as a great place to take a date. For a one hour tour it is 11 Euros and 7 Euros for children. Lunch Cruises are 28 Euros and Dinner Cruises are typically around 36 Euros but the prices vary depending on the meal.
