Prague Trip

Prague:

Prague is said to be the most exciting city in Central Europe, A city filled with architecture, music, history, and nightlife – it’s the perfect city to escape to all year round.

If you are in the Czech Republic, perhaps you have already made it to Prague.. but for me it was a destination I’ve been wanted to go to since I was 15 and finally made it.

Tj and Myself in Prague

So finally! Me, T.j., and my boyfriend Damir who (arrived from Croatia the night before) were off to Prague!  Our total train cost to Prague and back was 420 CZK (2 tickets), but I think a bus is a few dollars cheaper, and total time was 2hrs 30minutes.

From the train station you can easily figure out what tram you need to get to old town/new town. We didn’t use the metro so I’m exactly sure not sure how it works; Of course you can just look on http://jizdnirady.idnes.cz/prague/spojeni/ before you go to check what you’ll need. You buy the tram tickets just like in Brno, just slightly more expensive (i.e. full price 15min ticket is 24czk)

We stayed the night in Prague at the Chili hostel. We booked it online when it said it was 25CZK per person – if something seems to good to be true – it probably is. Once we arrived they charged us 250CZK per person for the night – not the savings we were hoping for.

Prague is as beautiful as you hear, but expect its large tourism sector. This makes the restaurant and shop people a little pushy, the prices higher, and big crowds.

Prague offers so many unique experiences, you might need to spend more time there. Try to check out their exceptional night life, and induldge in the food, drinks, and traditions – you will really have a memorable time.

Maybe check out a Segway tour – I mean who doesn’t want to drive a Segway?

  1. Nice tips, thanks. We are planing our trip to Prague and still thinking in what area should we stay. What can you reccommend? We are small group, so will probably take an apartment. Not sure if we should stay in Prague Old Town area or Lesser Town. Your suggestions?
