Chilly fall weather drives us to move our activities indoors. One option to broaden your horizons is to visit some of the fairs taking place across the country at this time of year.

The International Engineering Fair

MSVThe Brno Exhibition Centre currently hosts the International Engineering Fair (MSV), which is the leading industrial trade fair in Central Europe with annual participation reaching more than 1500 exhibitors and 75 000 visitors from 59 countries worldwide. More than a third of the exhibitors come from abroad. About 70 percent of the visitors are decision makers and buying influencers. As one of the best known trade fairs with a long tradition (58 years!) in the country, MSV attracts over 400 accredited journalists. Both visitors and exhibitors benefit from many workshops, seminars and conferences.

Autumn Book Fair

autumn book fairBookworms might find satisfaction at the 26th Autumn Book Fair in the town of Havlíčkův Brod. The second largest book fair in the Czech Republic (after the Book World Prague held in spring) takes place from October 14th – 15th. Visitors can meet more than 160 exhibitors and nearly 150 writers, translators, illustrators and other interesting people from the world of books.

Jobspin.cz Job Fair

jobfair by jobspin.cz and prague.tvThose expats looking for a job in the Czech Republic simply must visit the multilingual Job Fair held by Jobspin.cz and powered by Prague on October 15th on the premises of Anglo-American University Prague. At the event, visitors will have a chance to meet representatives from companies currently seeking new employees, including the biggest names in the Czech Republic and large international players. Foreigners.cz as a partner of the fair will be there with free consultation and a small contest 😉

The Gaudeamus fair

gaudeamusAt the beginning of November the series of Gaudeamus fairs starts. The 23rd year of Gaudeamus Brno is held from November 1st to 4th at the Brno Exhibition Centre. The Gaudeamus project is one of the most well-publicized education and study abroad shows in Central Europe. There are more than 230 exhibitors and 28 000 visitors expected in Brno. Participation at the fair is the best way to address local students.
